Bertha E. Betty (Eckert) Hill passed away peacefully at the Bearhill Nursing Center of Wakefield on Nov. 24th, 2006. She was 90 years old. Born & raised in Philadelphia, Penn. to the late Hermann F. & Katherine (Kircher) Eckert. Mrs. Hill worked for over 20 years as a Supervisor with the Philadelphia School Department. She had spent the last 10 years at Bearhill Nursing Center and was known for her easy going & happy outlook. Betty was the wife of the late Samuel Hill who passed in 1985. She was the loving mother of Beverly Kirby & her husband Ed of Melrose and the late Samuel G. & Barry P. Hill. Grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 6 and also a great, great grandmother.
