Betty (Ludin) Walker passed away at the Devereux House Nursing Home in Marblehead, on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. She was 75 years of age. Betty was born in Brockton, raised in the Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School, Class of 1950. She and her late husband Robert lived in Malden for over 25 years. Betty worked as a statistician clerk for the Boston Herald and the Record American for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Mrs. Walker loved to play cards, do puzzles and go to bingo. She and her late husband Bob loved to travel. Betty was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephew. Mrs. Walker was the beloved wife of 25 years to the late Robert J. Walker. Loving sister-in-law of George Walker of Lynn, Dorothy M. Riley of FL, William J. Walker of VT, Donald J. Walker of Michigan and Mary J. Currier of Salem. Cherished aunt of Dorothy, Thomas, Debbie, Cindy, Paula, Donald, George, Gary, Kevin, Gail, Jimmy, Sue, John as well as several other nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St. Peabody, on Friday, January 25th at 12PM.
