Beverly A. (Doucette) DiVola, of Malden, formerly of Melrose, died after a brief illness, March 16, 2021. Beverly was born in Melrose on March 21, 1937 to the late David & Edith (Kearney) Doucette. She was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School.
She started her working career at Transitron in Melrose and later went on to work as a check processor for Mellon Bank for many years. She and her late husband Bob moved to Malden many years ago but Beverly always spent most of her time in Melrose; she was a Melrose girl thru and thru.
Beverly loved social media and watching The Real Housewife's. Family meant the most to her and she never missed a birthday, holiday, graduation or her grandchildren's dance recitals or sporting events. Beverly is now in Heaven dancing with her true love Bob DiVola.
Beverly is the loving wife of the late Robert J. DiVola. Devoted mother of Annmarie Giordano & her husband Kenneth of Melrose, Robert DiVola & his wife Laurie of Saugus and Jamie DiVola & his wife Jennifer of Peabody. Loving sister Joan Colantuoni. Cherished grandmother Anthony, Jeffrey, Christina, Lisa, Kenneth, Robert III, Ryan, Joseph, Nicholas, Ava & Vincent. Also survived by 8 great grand children and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose on Tuesday, March 23rd at 10AM, followed by a burial at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Those planning on attending are required to follow Covid-19 protocol by wearing masks, keeping a social distance, paying their respects to the family and exiting the funeral home to allow others to attend. We are limited to the number of guests inside the funeral home at one time.
