Brian F. O'Connell, of Stoneham, died on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Quincy Medical Center. Born on July 25, 1939 in Melrose, MA, he was raised in Melrose and was a 1957 graduate of Malden Catholic High School. He attended Boston College and went to work as a production manager with American Express for almost 20 years. Brian enjoyed all sports, especially golf, and his yearly golf trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with his friends from the Hickory Hill Golf Club of Dracut. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Melrose. Mr. O'Connell was the devoted husband of Andrea J. (Landry) O'Connell with whom he shared 31 years of marriage. He was the loving father of David B. O'Connell & his wife Jessica of Myrtle Beach, SC. Cherished grandfather of Cloey, Avery, Ireland & Layla O'Connell. Son of the late James B. & Margaret Ruth (O'Neil) O'Connell. Caring brother of J. Barry O'Connell & his wife Cheryl of Rowley, Kathleen T. O'Connell of South Boston & Ruthanne M. Medige & her husband George of Wakefield. Nephew of Fr. Francis J. O'Neill, SJ & also survived by several other nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral arrangements are private.
