Obituary

Bryan W. Cook, of Saugus, formerly of Melrose, died at the Mass. General Hospital on July 23, 2010 at the age of 55. Bryan was born in Malden, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1973. He went on to earn his degree from Harvard University, Class of 1978, where he was also the Captain of the Hockey Team. He was a Manufacturing Rep and Owner of ProComp Associates in Tewksbury for over 20 years. Bryan resided in Melrose until 1989 and the past 15 years in Saugus. He was a member of the Bellevue Golf Club, V.F.W. Harold O' Young Post #2394 and the Melrose Elks, all in Melrose for many years. Bryan loved traveling with his family to N. Conway, Florida, Bermuda and Chatham and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He was the loving father of Andrew B. Cook of Saugus, Rachel C. Cook of Melrose and Abbey E. Cook of Saugus. Former husband of Jo (Mangone) Cook of Saugus. Caring brother of Marjorie Cook of Chatham, Richard Cook & his wife Frances, Robert Cook & his wife Maureen, all of Melrose and the late Gerald Cook & James Cook. Cherished grandfather of McKenzie. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday July 26th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bryan's name to the National Kidney Foundation, 129 Morgan Dr., Norwood, MA 02062.
