Bryan Noble, 86, of Wakefield, passed away on Friday, December 29, after a brief stay at High Point hospice home in Haverhill.
Born in Medford to Herbert and Claudia (Bryan) on June 7, 1937, and growing up in Wakefield, he ran cross country for the WHS Class of 1956. Bryan thrived on his mechanical abilities, working as a mechanic and later as a carpenter. Building cars was a passion of his early in his life.
Bryan was honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the National Guard in 1962. He married Janice McCann of Wakefield that year, bringing a son, Christopher, who received Bryan's mechanical talents through motocross racing on well-maintained machines. He was instrumental in forming the New England Mini-Cycle Association (NEMA) in 1972, bringing organized motocross racing to school-aged kids across New England and beyond to National levels. Bryan joined the Carpenters Local 218 and spent most of his 30-year career as a Superintendent for the Lee Kennedy Co. After retiring, he did maintenance work at Prince Restaurant in Saugus for 20+ years. Bryan developed a well-respected talent amongst his musician friends for building and repairing vintage tube amplifiers, passing on his talents to them.
Another chapter in Bryan's life in 1983 brought marriage to Cathy Johnston of Wakefield and having a daughter, Laura Beth, who inherited his amazing ability to think and learn.
Bryan was predeceased by his sister JoAnn, and is survived by his wife Cathy, their daughter Laura Beth, his son Christopher and wife Paula, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private, and he will be laid to rest at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield, MA.
