Carl M. Bruce died after a long battle with cancer on May 20th at the age of 66. He was born in Brooklyn NY, raised in Brooklyn, Newfoundland and Dorchester and graduated from Don Bosco High School in Dorchester. Carl lived in Pembroke for over 10yrs, Braintree & Quincy for several years and Melrose the past 12yrs. He worked in sales and then as District Manager for US Food Service of Everett for 29yrs. Carl was an avid golfer and a member of Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose. He was the husband of Diane P. (DiPietro) Bruce. Father of Carl M. Bruce Jr. & his wife Julia of Ridgefield CT, Timothy P. Bruce & his wife Laura of Kingston and Michael T. Bruce of Melrose. Brother of Harold Bruce of Newfoundland, Marguerite Kelly of Marshfield, Maureen Hines of Canton, Veronica Jones of Washington, Jane Ann Donlan of Mansfield and the late Dennis Bruce. Grandfather of Thomas , Emma & Dennis. Former husband of Jeannette (Monahan) Gronberg of Hull.Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W.
