Carla R. (Rockwell) Hartman, of Melrose, died at her home surrounded by her family on August 5, 2008 at the age of 75. Carla was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School. She resided in Melrose for most of her life and enjoyed spending time in her home. Carla loved to play Scrabble, putting together puzzles and playing cards with her many friends. She enjoy spending the holiday's with her family and was the loving mother of Hugh A.D. Hartman Jr. & Debra S. Hartman, both of ME, Rebecca R. Marcantonio & her husband Michael of Natick and Scott C. Hartman & his wife Kimberly of Wakefield. Former wife of Hugh A. Hartman of Centerville. Cherished grandmother of Heidi, Christian, Alexander, Heather, Carson, Samantha and Ian. Caring great grandmother of Brianna. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday August 11th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6PM. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
