Obituary

Carol A. (Kennedy) Aloi, of Melrose, passed away on October 21, 2015 at the age of 71. Carol was born in Somerville on May 17, 1944 to Arthur and Eleanor Kennedy. She was raised in Somerville and graduated from Matignon High School. During this time she met the love of her life, Gregory Aloi. The two started dating their senior year of high school and were later married at St. Catherine's Church in Somerville in 1967. After living briefly in Medford, Carol and Greg moved to Melrose to start their family, where they would remain to this day. Carol was very devoted to her family and was a perfect mother and homemaker. Carol once worked as a legal secretary at a real estate law firm, she frequently did volunteer work around town, she spent time gardening, and she loved to shop. Carol enjoyed spending summers at her family cottage in Winthrop throughout her whole life. The beach and the ocean were her favorite places to go. She was so proud of her grandchildren, and loved to spoil them. Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she was happiest around her family and loved them more than words could express. She was the beloved wife of Gregory Aloi of Melrose. Loving mother of Cheryl Thibault & her husband Scott of Newburyport, Catherine Boese & her husband John of Andover, and Kristin Wilcox & her husband Reginald of Millis. Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Ryan, Rebecca, Jack, SaraBeth, Timothy, Kyle, & Megan. Caring sister of Arthur Kennedy, Joanne Letch, Robert Kennedy, & Paul Kennedy.
