Carol A. (Simmons) Packard 83, a long-time resident of Whitman and in later years Plymouth died peacefully on August 27, 2022. Born in Brockton, MA in 1938 she was the youngest child of Beatrice (Pike) and Frank Simmons. Carol graduated from Brockton High School in 1955 and a year later married her High School sweetheart Loring. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage. Carol and "Pack" loved to spend time with family and friends, go camping, and spend time by the water. Throughout her life Carol worked for Shaw's Markets, the Whitman School system, Multi-Car Leasing company, Chadwick's of Boston and drove a school bus in her retirement years. Carol is survived by her three children, Lori and her husband Tony Keras of Marshfield, Jeffrey and his wife Debbie Packard of Melrose, and Kimberly and her husband Jerry Ryan of Bradenton, FL. Carol is also survived by six grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by her brothers Gilbert and Robert Simmons, her sister Shirley Deehan, and her loving husband Loring. Services and burial will be private.
