Carol F. (Lavoie) Rappa died suddenly at Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston Aug. 27th at the age of 56. She was born in Lynn, raised in Peabody and graduated from St. Mary's Grammar & St. Mary's High School in Peabody. Carol has lived in Melrose for the past 34yrs and was a devoted mother and wife. Carol was a homemaker and also worked as a paralegal at her son's law firm Rappa & Associates in Melrose for the past 5yrs. She was a member of Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose, a devoted Boston College fan and a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. She was the beloved wife of Henry A. Rappa Sr.. Devoted mother of Henry A. Rappa Jr. of Melrose and the late Kevin J. Rappa. Sister of Philip Lavoie of Peabody. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thurs. Aug. 30th at 8 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 2-4 & 7-9PM.
