Carolyn E. Powers, of Melrose, died on November 19, 2017 at the age of 66. She was predeceased by her infant daughter and was the daughter of the late James & Gertrude Powers. Sister of Kathleen A. Powers of Melrose, Donald A. Powers & his fiancé Susan A. Kureta of Beverly, and the late David Powers. Aunt of Erin Powers & her fiancé Gil Ortega of Hamilton, NJ, and Kaileen Powers of Qunicy. Great-Aunt of Riley and Hadley Ortega. Niece of Edward Powers of Granby and Patricia Walsh of Melrose. Also survived by many cousins. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
