Caryl M. (Stapleton) McGrath, of Alton NH, formerly of Saugus, died at her home on Jan. 16, 2008 at the age of 74. Caryl was born & raised in Malden and a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1950. She resided in Malden until 1955, lived in Saugus for 30 years and the past 20 years in Alton, NH. Caryl was a member of the Incarnation church & choir for many years. She was the beloved wife of Francis G. McGrath. Devoted daughter of the late Michael & Alice (Flynn) Stapleton. Loving mother of Kathy Calandro & her husband Garry of Lynn, Retired Saugus Police Officer Michael McGrath & his wife Renee of SC, Paul McGrath & his wife Karen of Peabody and Colleen Spinale & her husband John of St. John, VI. Cherished grandmother of Shauna McGrath and Johnny & Roman Spinale. Caring sister of the late William & Paul Stapleton, Lorraine DeBeradinis and Pat Leeman. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday Jan. 22nd at 9:15AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8PM. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
