Catherine (Charos) Lucas died after a short illness at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham June 18th at the age of 82. Catherine was born in Boston, raised in Boston, lived in New York City for 55yrs, Melrose for a few years and Stoneham the past 5yrs. She and her husband James owned and operated several luncheonette/diners in New York City for 30yrs. Catherine was a member of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Woburn and had worked at the Elementary School Lunch Program in Wakefield for several years. She was the beloved wife of James Lucas. Mother of George Lucas of Glen Head NY and the late Charles Lucas. Grandmother of Christine Lucas of CA, Kathy & Rose Lucas of VT. Great grandmother of Lucas Hauman of VT. Sister of Christos Charos of Newburyport, Constantine G. Charos of Melrose and the late Peter Charos. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
