Catherine E. "Kitty" (Sullivan) Swansburg of Melrose, formerly of Malden, died at home on Thursday, April 30, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 30, 1924 in Cambridge, MA to the late Jeremiah & Julia Sullivan, she was raised in Cambridge and a graduate of St. Mary's High School of Cambridge. Mrs. Swansburg was a resident of Malden for 33 years, Melrose for 22 years and Brooksy Village of Peabody for almost 3 years. She always put her family first, was a member of the Catholic Mother's Club, Immaculate Conception Church of Malden, Incarnation Church of Melrose and the Ladies Auxillary VFW Harold O'Young Post # 2394 of Melrose. Kitty was the devoted wife of Harold L. "Bud" Swansburg with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Jack Swansburg & his wife Sue of North Reading, Nancy Boyle & her husband Michael also of North Reading, Lynne Swansburg of Reading & Cindy Mullen & her husband John of Wilmington. Cherished grandmother of Denise Foote & her husband Doug of MN, Eric & Kevin Swansburg, Michael Boyle & his fiance Natalie Howe of LA, Daniel Boyle, Thaddeus & Andrew Kuznicki & Jimmy Mullen.
