Catherine A. (Corkery) Waldron died after a long illness at home October 18th at the age of 81. She was born and raised in Malden. She graduated from Chevrus Grammar & High School in Malden and has been living in Melrose since 1959. Catherine was a homemaker and a former employee of National Radio in Melrose where she worked for several years as a tester of mechanical components. Catherine was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Mother's Club in Melrose and a member of the US Marine Corps Ladies Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late John H. Waldron Sr. Mother of Kathleen M. Boomhower of Saugus and John H. Waldron Jr. of Melrose. Sister of Doris Carr & her husband Jim of FL, Thomas Corkery of Melrose and the late Margaret Fallon, Ruth McNaught, Eileen Cox and George Corkery. Grandmother of Lisa Marie McNeil & her husband Alex of Wayland and Kathryn Ann Boomhower of Saugus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Mon. Oct. 22nd at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8PM.
