Cecilia (Corsetti) Colella passed away peacefully at her home in Melrose, on December 18, 2011. She was 89 years of age. Cecilia was born in Italy on September 24, 1922 to the late Pasquale & Agata (Castricone) Corsetti. She was raised in Italy and came to the United States at the age of 27. Settling in Melrose in 1949, she has been a longtime Melrose resident and a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Colella cherished the times spent with her family and loved to cook for them. She was the beloved wife of the late Pelino "Bill" Colella. Loving mother of Frank Colella of Melrose and Anne Marie Rafuse & her husband Bill of Saugus. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Massone & her companion Matt Dupray of N. Andover, Jeremy Rafuse & his wife Caroline of NH, Bill Colella of Melrose and Tony Colella & his companion Sinead Dowd of Melrose. Great grandmother of Jarrod, Juliana, Jeremy Jr. and Caroline Emma. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, December 21st at 10:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in remembrance of Cecilia at The Church of the Incarnation, 429 Upham St. Melrose, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
