Charles C. Loizides passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on November 30, 2005, he was 85. Charles was raised in Lynn & Malden and graduated from Malden High School. Mr. Loizides served in the US Army during WWII and has been a resident of Melrose since 1968. Charles was a machinist, owned & operated his own machine shop in Lynn & Malden for over 25 years. He was a longtime member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn. Charles was the husband of Fanny (Antoniou) Loizides. Father of Anthony C. Loizides & his wife Tina of Saugus. Brother of Steve Loizides of Nahant, Louis Loizides of CA & the late Peter Loizides. Grandfather of Charles A. Loizides of Saugus. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. A Funeral service will be held at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common St. Lynn, on Sat. Dec. 3rd at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
