Charles A. Nickerson, 78, died at the Winchester Nursing Care Center Sunday morning after a brief illness. Born and raised in Somerville, he graduated from Somerville High Class of 1940, he lived most of his life in Somerville. Charles has lived on the Malden-Melrose line for the past few years. He was a parisherioner of St Mary's Church and a member of the Sgt. Harold O. Young VFW Post # 2394. Son of the late Francis & Mary ( Fitzgerald ) Nickerson. Brother of Mary G. Chute & her husband James of Winchester and the late Paul E. Nickerson. Charles is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 S Foster St Melrose on Wednesday April 11, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited Visiting hours Tuesday 7 - 9 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. WW II Army Veteran.
