IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles " Charlie "
Perullo Jr
February 6, 1958 – April 11, 2025
Charles "Charlie" Perullo Jr, 67, of Melrose passed away peacefully at the Kaplan House in Danvers, surrounded by his beloved wife of 20 years, Linda Perullo (Stokes) of Melrose and cherished son Jeffrey Charles Perullo. Charlie was the son of the late Rose and Charles Perullo Sr of Lynn.
Charlie was born and raised in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School graduating in the class of 1976. He worked for many years at Norelco on the Lynnway in Lynn and over 18 years at Gorton's Seafoods in Gloucester where he was a Union Steward and was elected multiple times to participate in the negotiating team for union contracts, where he always advocated the best possible outcomes for his union brothers and sisters.
Charlie loved life and that enthusiasm was infectious. Charlie had a larger-than-life personality and had a passion for travelling with his wife, live music including Elvis and Frank Sinatra impersonators, dancing and experiencing an array of restaurants. However, he never found any food that compared to his mother's cooking. Charlie and Linda traveled extensively, making friends wherever they went, they loved to go on long walks, attend concerts and have dinner with friends, family or just each other. Charlie adored every minute he spent with his only child, Jeffrey. They loved watching movies, going out to dinner, and even worked together for years at Gorton's. If Charlie was not with Linda, he was with Jeffrey, they were amazingly close. Charlie's kindness and generosity were well-known within his community, if you were a friend of his, you were a friend for life. His warmth and good nature made him a beloved figure among his neighbors and friends.
Charlie's legacy lives on through his wife Linda, his son Jeffrey and partner Chelsea, as well as the friendships he nurtured and the love he shared with his family. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding everyone the joy of living life to the fullest.
