Shultz, Charles Hannum of Malden, formerly of Wakefield, July 8, 2009. Charles Hannum Shultz of Malden, formerly of Wakefield, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at his residence. He was 95 years old. Born on March 19, 1914 in Everett, MA to the late George & Nellie (Hannum) Shultz, he was raised in Everett and a 1932 graduate of Everett High School. Mr. Shultz worked for Kyanize Paint Company before entering the United States Army and serving proudly for 3 years during WWII. After the war, he returned to Kyanize Paints of Everett as a paint & color mixer for 44 years. He lived in Wakefield for 33 years and Malden since 2001. Hannum loved history, enjoyed playing baseball, football and traveling. He was a member of the Kyanize Paint Bowling Club, the First Lutheran Church of Malden, Palestine Masonic Lodge in Everett and the Vasa Lodge in Lynn. He was the husband of 26 years of Anna M. (Backstrom) Kelloway and the late Doris (Clark) Shultz. Loving father of Charles H. Shultz, Jr. & his wife Carol of Springfield. Caring stepfather of Peter J. Kelloway & his wife Kyong Cha of Brunswick, ME & Heidi A. Steele & her husband Peter of Melrose. Cherished grandfather of Edward H. Shultz of Maryland, Robert S. Shultz of Springfield, Daniel J. Kelloway of Portland, ME, Marshall J. Kelloway of Brunswick ME, Charles S. Steele & Anna G. Steele, both of Melrose. Brother of the late Mary Janes & Phyllis Woodward. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held in the First Lutheran Church 62 Church St., Malden on Tues. July 14th at 11AM. Family & friends respectfully invited. Interment will take place at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hannum's memory may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice 178 Savin St., Malden, MA 02148.
