Cheryl A. (Cottam) Ingersoll, of Saugus, age 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading surrounded by loved ones. Cheryl was a proud grandmother of 10 (soon to be 11) grandchildren. Cheryl was born in Malden, raised in Melrose and attended Melrose High School. After high school, she worked as a hairdresser. While living in Saugus, she worked as a waitress at the Hilltop & Augustine's restaurants. Cheryl loved to prepare large, delicious meals for her family and also loved to spend time at the camp in Old Orchard Beach, ME that she shared with her beloved husband Gary G. Ingersoll Sr. of 26 years. She was the loving mother of Laurie (Cottam) Hillson & her husband Bob of Andover, John (Jackie) Cottam, David Cottam & his wife Sonya, all of Saugus. Caring stepmother of Gary Ingersoll Jr. & his wife Jodie of Hudson, NH & Erik Ingersoll & his wife Kerrie of Haverhill. Cherished grandmother of Robbie, Connor, Chloe, Maria, Nicole, Matthew, Amanda, Andrew, Keegan and Isabel. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A funeral service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, Nov. 28th at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6PM. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
