Christine M. (Northup) Brickley passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on May 22, 2012. She was 62 years of age. Christine was born in Melrose on October 14, 1949, she was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1967. Mrs. Brickley moved to Wakefield where she resided for 20 years and has been a resident of Salem for the past 15 years. Christine was a homemaker and had previously worked at a local supermarket in Melrose and then as a tutor, helping local Wakefield High School students with math. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cross stitching and playing board games. Mrs. Brickley had a passion for Elvis, Elvis movies, Elvis music and basically anything Elvis. Christine loved her cat "Gizmo" and liked watching Chuck Norris movies and Steven Segal movies. Mrs. Brickley was the loving mother of Michael V. Brickley of VA and Ellie A. Brickley & her husband Peter Brownlee of Winthrop. Devoted daughter of Jacqueline (Goss) Northrup of Melrose. Caring sister of the late Dianne L. (Northrup) Christenson. Former wife of the late Paul Brickley. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, May 25th at 8:45AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart's Church, 315 Main St., Malden at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 3-7PM. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
