Christine Lepore, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was 71 years of age. Christine was born in Medford, on July 24, 1938 to the late Alexander & Stella Kaval. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. Mrs. Lepore has been a resident of Melrose for the past 45 years, where she and her late husband, Joseph, raised their five children. Each summer for many years, she enjoyed travelling with her family to their summer cottage on Estes Lake in Maine. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren gather at the lake each summer. She loved to read and was an avid bowler in her younger years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose. Christine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Lepore. She was the loving mother of Paul & his wife Theresa of Winchester, Gregory & his wife, Joan, of Reading, Kimberly Zucco & her husband, John of Stratham, New Hampshire, Mark & his wife, Sheila of Tewksbury, and Joseph & his wife Emily of Holden. Devoted grandmother to 15 grandchildren. Loving sister of Pat DelTrecco of Andover and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. A Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Monday, November 23, 2009 from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
