Christopher Evans, 53, of Malden, MA, died unexpectedly Sunday January 30, 2022, at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was born December 28, 1968, the son of Sylvia Evans and the late Barry Evans. Chris received his education in Melrose, MA and graduated in 1988. He proudly served his country in the Army and was very proud. Growing up Chris enjoyed his summers at Lake Winnisquam boating, waterskiing, and fishing off the trestle. He enjoyed gardening and would often talk about and share all the vegetables he had grown. He always enjoyed listening to some good music but truly enjoyed Johnny Cash the most. He is predeceased by his wife of 15 years DawnMarie Johnson and is survived by his mother, Sylvia Evans of Salem, NH, his sister Stacy Evans and her wife Marianne of Londonderry, NH, sister Jodi Evans of Revere, MA, his children Krystal Evans, Andrew Evans, Katelyn Herrera, Leanna Evans, and Christopher Evans Jr. He has many grandchildren and one nephew Eric Evans. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, February 8th from 4-7pm at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose, MA.
