Obituary

Claire C. (Rogers) Campbell, a lifelong resident of Medford, died peacefully on April 21, 2026 at the age of 100. She was born in Boston on January 20, 1926 to the late Margaret (Kennedy) and Joseph Rogers. She was raised in Medford, graduated from Medford High School, and remained in Medford to raise her own family.

Claire worked for many years as a secretary at the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing, as well as the St. Francis School in Medford, and she also worked at the signal factory during WWII. Claire was known for her kindness and willingness to lend a caring ear to anyone that needed it. She was always well dressed and looked forward to her weekly hair appointment and shopping trip. Most importantly, Claire was devoted to her family and faith.

Claire was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Campbell. Loving mother of Susan Campbell of Medford, and the late Kathleen Campbell. Caring sister of Margaret Savage and the late Paul Rogers. Cherished aunt of Daniel Rogers & his late wife Justine, Barry Rogers & his wife Carolyn, Cynthia Rogers, Betsy Landry & her husband Richard, Neil Savage, Kevin Savage, Brian Savage, Christopher Savage, Timothy Savage & his wife Kyungshin, and Matthew Savage & his wife Sandra. She is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Raphael's Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 12:00pm on Friday, May 1st, 2026. Burial to follow the mass at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Rd., Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Raphael Development Fund, 514 High St., Medford, MA 02155. Claire’s family would also like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Sunrise of Burlington for their dedicated and compassionate care.
