Claire T. Kirk passed away at Kirkwood Nursing Home in Wakefield on January 30th at the age of 77. Claire was born in Medford, raised in Malden and graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden, Class of 1943. She lived in Medford & Reading for several years and the past 45 years in Melrose. Claire worked as a secretary for a number of years at Standard Duplicating Company in Everett. She was a very kind person who loved animals, loved to feed and care for birds and was well loved by her family & friends. Claire was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenwood. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. & Mary V. (Lee) Kirk. Sister of Mary E. Kirk of Melrose, Elizabeth A. McBride of Stoneham, Barbara M. Kirk of Melrose, Joan F. Tingle of Palm Desert, CA and the late Margaret M. O'Brien. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may gather at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday Feb. 3rd from 8:30-9:30AM. Followed by a memorial mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10AM. Internment will be private.
