Colette S. (Supple) Maguire, of Melrose, died peacefully at home surrounded by her eight children on April 8th, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born in Boston on October 1, 1932, to the late Mildred (Broussard) and Henry Supple. Colette was raised in Winthrop and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in Brighton. A longtime member of Incarnation Church, she was dedicated to her faith and church. Colette worked for many years as a bank teller and for Macy's, retiring at the age of 80. She was a proud recipient of the Cheverus Medal given to her by the Bishop of the Boston Archdiocese. Family was most important to Colette; she cherished her time with all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, especially at family parties. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Colette was the beloved wife of the late George W. Maguire. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Georgia Krasco & her husband Jim, Matthew Maguire & his wife Marianne, Mark Maguire & his wife June, Luke Maguire & his wife Brenda, John Maguire & his wife Andrea, Andrea Colette Maguire, Peter Maguire & his wife Andrea Beth and Paula Flynn & her husband Michael. Devoted grandmother of Jimmy, Stephanie & her husband Steve, Desi & former spouse Tricia, Brian, Patrick & his husband Scott, Erin, Liam, Dillon, Mick, Sara, Jenna, Molly, Jessica, Andrew & his wife Jenny, Zachary, Ally, Lily, Brendan, and Frankie. Proud great-grandmother of Jake, Sydney, Briana, Brayden, Marlee, Jameson, and Rowan. Sister of the late Dr. Jerome Supple.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A Funeral Mass will be held at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St., Melrose, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to My Brother's Table, 98 Willow St., Lynn, MA 01901 or to the Incarnation Parish, 425 Upham St., Melrose, MA 02176.
