Cornelius McAuliffe died at Mass. General Hospital on Feb 14th at the age 88. He was born in Somerville, raised in Malden, graduated from Malden High School and Boston University and has lived in Melrose for over 65yrs. Cornelius worked as a field accountant for Mass. Electric Co. for over 45yrs, was a member of Port Norfolk Yaucht Club in Neponset, was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Mary's. He was the husband of the late Phyllis M. (Jack) McAuliffe. Father of Brian McAuliffe of W.Virginia and Karen Edie of Dorchester. Brother of Mary Quinn of Malden. Grandfather of Daniel McAuliffe of Melrose & Matthew McAuliffe of Newburyport. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Feb. 23rd at 8 AM.
