Cosmo L. Infurna of Melrose, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 56 years old. Born in Malden on July 22, 1955, he was raised in Melrose and a 1974 graduate of Melrose High School. He then attended the ITT Technical Institute of Boston. Cosmo was a Melrose resident and a member of St. Mary's Church of Melrose. Mr. Infurna worked for 19 years as a Program Manager for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Fire Arm Records Division. He was a Den Leader of Pack 615 of Melrose and enjoyed gardening, riding his bicycle, tinkering around the house, computers and the Boston Red Sox. He was the devoted husband of Gail M. (Giordano) Infurna, with whom they shared 29 years of marriage. He was the loving father to Michael Infurna of Dover, NH & Mark Infurna of Melrose. The Cherished Son of Anna I. (Carrabis) Infurna of Melrose & the late Louis J. Infurna. Caring brother of Rosalind A. D'Amico & her husband Salvatore of Melrose. Also survived by 4 brother-in-laws, 3 sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews & cousins. A Funeral will be held from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday, May 30th at 9AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
