It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cynthia Ann Augusta-lake who left us on July 10, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Originally born and raised in East Boston. Cynthia was born to the late Eva (Billardo) Nappi and Isadore Nappi. She is survived by her devoted brother Joseph Nappi of Florida and brother of the late Ronald Nappi of Florida.

Cynthia lived a beautiful life filled with love, laughter and resilience with her soulmate and best friend Shirley Lake. Cynthia was mother to her cherished daughter Rene Augusta who she deeply loved. Cynthia's pride and joy were her grandchildren Jayla (Ruliera) Chicas and Jenae Ruliera and her great grandchildren Harper, Valentino and Blake. Cynthia also leaves behind nieces, nephews and cousins.

To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a memorial service will be held in her honor on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Prayer Service will begin following the visitation at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable, funny, and witty lady who brought joy to all who knew her.
