Cindy was born in Melrose in 1957 to Louis and Mary DeFazio. She attended Melrose Schools before going on to attend Hairdressing School. In her earlier years, Cindy was the owner of a Hairdressing Shop in Melrose. She ran the shop for many years and met a lot of good friends along the way.
Later in life, she had a career change and started working in HealthCare. She went on to become a Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator. Cindy loved her job in HealthCare. She made even more friends and was very happy doing that line of work. Her company went remote in the recent years, and she got to work from home, her favorite place to be. Cindy had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Not to mention a beautiful smile.
Daughter of the late Louis and Mary DeFazio. Cindy missed her parents terribly. Cindy leaves behind her loving partner of 35 years Jeffrey Wirtanen. Cindy's true loves were her children Robert Sartori and his wife Cheryl of Wakefield and Cheryl Hurley and her husband Scott of Saugus. Cindy had a loving relationship with her daughter in law and son in law. Cindy was blessed with wonderful grandchildren whom she loved and adored. Grandmother to Katelyn, Matthew, Jacklyn, Zackary, Cameron, Patrick, Gavin, and Addison; Sister to Frankie DeFazio and his wife Christine of Melrose, Richard DeFazio and wife Rosario of Rhode Island; Loving Aunt of Mary, Victoria, Joseph, Carla, Tracy, Joe & the Late Michael Merrick.
