Daniel F. Buckely Jr, of Melrose, formerly of Malden, died at this home on May 21, 2009 at the age of 67. Dan was born in Malden, raised in Medford and a graduate of Medford High School. He worked as a Truck Driver for Hopwood Globe Plating Co. in Malden and worked at the Malden YMCA in the Maintenance Dept. for several years. Dan lived most of his life in Malden and the past year in Melrose. He was a member of the Italian-American Citizen's Club in Malden for many years. Dan was the loving brother of Emma E. Guzman of NJ, Mary E. Marchetti of Melrose, Barbara Norton of VA, John Buckley & his wife Maryann of Melrose, Joan Crowley of NY, June Wesley of PA and the late Rita Mell. Special friend of Frank, Sue, Ricky, Patrick and Christina, all of Haverhill. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday May 24th from 2-4PM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited. Funeral & Burial will be private.
