Daniel E. Gorman Jr. passed away at home on Dec. 2nd, he was 57. Dan was raised in Melrose, graduated from B.C.High School, Class of 1965 and Tufts University in Medford with a Political Science Degree. Dan has been a lifelong resident of Melrose, a longtime member of St. Marys Church, was an Eucharistic Minister and a former choir member at St. Marys Church. Dan served as a LT in the US Navy for 6 years and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was working as a contract analyst for the Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford for the past 20 years. Dan was a member of the National Contracting Management Assoc. and did volunteer work at Boston City Hospital. He was the son of the late Daniel E. Gorman Sr. & Veronica L. Vera (Harrington) Gorman. Brother of Thomas E. Gorman & his wife Jane of N.Reading and Andrea M. Gelder & her husband Stuart of ME. Uncle of Peter R. & Joseph D. Gorman both of N.Reading & Gillian R. Gelder of ME. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Mon. Dec. 6th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited.
