Daniel F. Hartnett of Melrose passed away at the Epoch Senior Nursing Care Center of Melrose on Oct. 13th, 2006 at the age of 88. Born in Somerville to the late Roger & Winifred (Crosby) Hartnett, Dan graduated from Somerville High School class of 1935. He worked as a truck driver with Market Express of Boston and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 25 for 58 years. Mr. Hartnett & his wife Mary (Ringland) shared 63 years of marriage together. He enjoyed planting & growing flowers & was a diehard Red Sox fan. Caring father of Daniel F. Hartnett, Jr. & his wife Marion of Plymouth, Ruth M. Taylor & her husband William of Kingston, Robert L. Hartnett & his wife Janet of TX, & Diane L. Lazzaro of FL. Grandfather of 11 & great grandfather of 14.Uncle of Pamela & Nancy Taylor. A private graveside service will be held on Tues. Oct. 17.
