Daniel P. Rotunno, of Melrose, died at home unexpectedly at home on Jan. 6, 2015 at the age of 52. Dan was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1981. He was a lifelong Melrose resident and worked as a Machinist for Victor Microwave in Wakefield for several years and also as a Bartender at the Melrose Elks Club for many years. Dan was a member and Past Exalted Ruler at the Melrose Elks Club and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Rockport. He was an avid reader and Red Sox, Bruins, Dolphins & Celtics fan. Dan was the loving son of the late Paul & Anna (Greelish) Rotunno. Caring brother of Joseph Rotunno of Everett, Robert Rotunno & his wife Linda of Melrose, Teri Batting & her husband Brett of Malden and the late Paula (Rotunno)Guerino. Devoted uncle of Steven Guerino & his fiancé Amanda Bucco of Beverly and Brian & Kevin Batting of Malden. Godfather of Krysta Kittredge of Wakefield. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, Jan 9th from 4-8PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 8PM. Burial will be private.
