IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel A. (Danny)
Spinosa
August 17, 1948 – March 6, 2025
Daniel A. Spinosa, affectionately known as Danny to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, in Boston, MA, at the age of 76. Born on August 17, 1948, in Somerville, MA, to the late Charles and Elisa (Colozzi) Spinosa,
Danny lived a full life marked by love, generosity, and a commitment to his community.
A devoted husband, Danny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan A. (Casella) Spinosa. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their shared values and mutual respect. Together, they raised a family that included their son Stephen Spinosa and his wife Deanna of Wilmington, their daughters Lisa Fogarty and her husband Brendan of Smithtown, NY, and Jenny Wilkins and her husband Kevin of Marblehead. As a proud grandfather, Danny cherished every moment with his grandchildren Nicolas, Jillian, Danny, Brian, Matty, Maeve, Cameron, Lilly, and Avery. His love and lessons will live on in them. Danny also leaves behind his Uncle Sal Colozzi and many beloved cousins who will miss his warm presence.
Danny was a man of practical skills and a strong work ethic. After earning his Associate's Degree in Building Construction Technology from Wentworth Institute, he worked as a construction superintendent on many projects in and around Boston. He also had his own business for a short time and enjoyed remodeling homes. Dan developed a passion for working in the construction industry while also sharing a love for woodworking and craftsmanship.
Dan volunteered his time building sets for the ballet company his daughter danced with as well as coaching softball. His quiet, raspy voice echoes across the softball diamond and can be heard by generations of softball players.
Those who knew Danny will remember him as a loving, generous, and dependable man who never hesitated to lend a hand or share a smile. He was a fixture at his grandchildren's events, offering support and celebrating their achievements with humble pride. His presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Danny loved spending summers in Kingston and later in Maine with his family, passing the time fishing on his boat, DayDreamer or relaxing on his deck. In the winter, Danny looked forward to spending his days soaking up the sun in Delray Beach, Florida with his many friends.
As we bid farewell to Danny, we celebrate a life well-lived, a family well-loved, and a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire. He was a beacon of light in the lives of many, and his memory will be cherished forever.
His spirit, laughter, and the memories he created will be held close to the hearts of his loved ones as they navigate this world without him. Danny's life was a beautiful illustration of how one person's warmth and generosity can touch so many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
