Daniel S. Urbano passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was only 29 years of age. Daniel was born in Stoneham, raised in Medford and graduated from Matignon High School He went on to study at the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. Mr. Urbano has been a resident of Melrose for the past 8 years. Daniel was a very talented artist who excelled in painting and drawing, was an excellent cook, a great carpenter and enjoyed music. He took great pleasure in taking trips to Chile to visit family members, spending summers at Hampton Beach, NH and taking family trips to North Conway, NH. Daniel was the beloved son of Sergio E. & Patricia D. (Coskren) Urbano. Loving brother of Diane E. Urbano of Melrose. Cherished grandson of Aida Mazuela of Chile. Nephew of Lawrence Coskren of Newton, NH, Magaly Martinez of Medford, Claudio Martinez of Chile. Also survived by numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, June 14th at 11AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
