David Alan Geyer, of Methuen & Melrose, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at his home in Methuen. He was only 60 years old. Born on April 19, 1950 in Revere, he was the loving son of the late Marshall & Dorothy (McHatton) Geyer. He was raised in Melrose and a 1968 graduate of Melrose High School. After high school, David entered the Air Force and served honorably during the Vietnam War. He then graduated from Peterson School of Engineering in Woburn. Mr. Geyer worked as a Senior Project Manager for the EMCOR Corporation of Boston for 16 years. He was a dedicated worker, enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, watching CNBC News and was a cigar aficionado. David lived most of his life in Melrose and the last 10 years in Methuen. He was the loving father of Jesse C. Geyer of Melrose & Katie S. Geyer of Methuen. He was the former husband of Christina (Herrick) Geyer of Methuen. Cherished grandfather of Jasmine J. Geyer of Methuen. Caring brother of Judith High of Maine & Pauline Bennett of AZ. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, numerous close personal friends & his beloved dog "Cain". Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, Wednesday, November 3rd at 8AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM.
