David Francis Taylor, of Billerica, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2021, at the age of 38. David was born in Waltham, raised in Arlington, Lynnfield and Woburn. He attended Lynnfield school and was a graduate of North Cambridge Catholic High School. David furthered his education when he enrolled in the Art Institute of Boston, majoring in Audio Engineering. After a career change, he went to the New England Tractor Trailer School in North Andover and completed the CDL program. David loved sports, especially the Boston Bruins, Music, video games, computers, drums, competitive pool, history and working on cars. While living in Lynnfield, David was a member of the high school football team and played on numerous youth hockey, baseball, basketball and football teams. He also played basketball for North Cambridge High School and was a past member of the Northeast APA championship pool league for many years. David played drums in the reggae band L.I.Z.Z.E.E. and for his brother Jason. David worked as a Technician for Wayne's Drain's in Burlington and will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. David was the loving father of Liam & Abigail. Cherished son of Edward & Claire (Fitzmaurice) Taylor of Pelham, NH. Caring brother of Bethany Taylor and Jason Taylor, Both of Pelham, NH. Loving companion of Colleen McGonagle of Billerica. Grandson of Jeanette DeSoto & her husband Charles of TX and the late Doris Fitzmaurice & her late husband Francis. Nephew of Joan Auger & her husband Robert, Bruce DeSoto & his wife Lindsey, Debbie Worley & her husband Victor and the late Francis Fitzmaurice & his wife Maryanne, Gary Taylor, Michael Taylor and David Fitzmaurice. Also survived by relatives & friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 4-7PM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
