Deborah Jean Berner of Melrose, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. She was 52 years old. Born on September 10, 1956 in Medford, she was raised in Malden & Melrose. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1974 then went to work at the Melrose Saving Bank and later with numerous mortgage companies, as an underwriter, for 20 years. She enjoyed watching TV, swimming, time with her family; especially her godson Jonathan and niece Natalie and traveling to Cape Cod. She was the loving daughter of Jean F. (Nagle) Berner & the late Erwin W. Berner. Caring sister of Suzanne M. Berner of Charlestown, Lisa A. Larcom & her husband Michael of Danvers & Kathleen A. Berner of Woburn & Melrose. Longtime companion of Thomas A. Brennan of Stoneham. Cherished Aunt & Godmother of Jonathan Larcom & Natalie Larcom, both of Danvers. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles & cousins.
