Deborah Ann (Smith) Smarr died after a long battle with lung disease Oct. 29th at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center at the age of 29. Deborah was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High Class of 1990 and West Virginia University Class of 1994. Deborah has lived all of her life in Melrose, lived in West Virginia from 1990 to 1999 and the past 2yrs in McCandless,Pennsylvania. She worked as a sales manager in human resources for Bearing Inc. in West Virginia for a few years. She was the wife of William H. Smarr. Daughter of Edward Christopher & Judith Ann (Putney) Smith of Melrose. Sister of David C. Smith & his wife of Melrose. Daughter-in-law of Eletha Smarr of West Virginia. Niece of Mr. & Mrs. William Crowther of Melrose, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Smith of Wakefield and Janet Metzler of Melrose. Also survived by many cousins & friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Nov. 3rd at 9 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8PM.
