Diane L. (Stack) Stevens, of Melrose, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on July 13, 2016 at the age of 61. Diane was born in Somerville, a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Somerville and went on to Suffolk University. She resided in Melrose since 1978 and worked as a Retail Manager for over 30 years. Diane enjoyed traveling to Disney World, going on Disney cruises and spending time at Disney's private island Castaway Key. She loved summertime and enjoyed going to the beach. Diane was the loving mother of Jaime N. Stevens & Jason D. Stevens of Melrose. Daughter of the late Daniel & Frances (Crowell) Stack. Former wife of Robert D. Stevens of Melrose. Caring sister of Margaret Bitgood of Leominster. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, July 17th from 2-5PM. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home on Monday, July 18th at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Puritan Lawn cemetery, Peabody.
