IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne L.
Schueler
October 10, 1937 – March 2, 2025
Dianne L. Schueler was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, in Beverly, MA. at the age of 87. Dianne was born on October 10, 1937, in Quincy, MA. She was daughter to the late Harry and Francis (Bird) Hjerpe.
Dianne graduated from Melrose High School in 1955. After selling real estate for many years, Dianne lived and worked on a private yacht, The Sophie B. The ship sailed internationally, visiting many ports in Europe, the Caribbean and along both coasts of the United States. Dianne then moved to California and worked at Trans World Airlines Ambassadors Club, where she enjoyed meeting many Hollywood A-listers.
Dianne attended her Melrose High School reunion, where she reunited with Frank E. Schueler Jr. Soon after, the two began to enjoy their life together wintering in Melrose, MA and summering in Naples, ME. They loved Long Lake in Maine where they could boat and fix up their cottages. Which then lead to the building of her cherished "Secret Garden".
Dianne and Frank were quite a pair. They enjoyed appearing together in print ads, several commercials, and the movie "The Man without a Face" (starring Mel Gibson). After 20 years of marriage, Frank became ill. Dianne stayed by his side and became his number one supporter. She took care of him for several years until he passed peacefully in December of 2002.
Dianne then lived at Brooksby Village in Peabody for the next 22 years. She enjoyed connecting with old and new friends that formed long lasting memories.
Dianne is survived by her daughters, Lisa Tarmey of Salisbury MA., Renee King, and her husband John of Fremont NH. Her beloved grandchildren Amanda, Ivy and Eddie Tarmey, Timothy King, Tiffany King and her partner Richard Smith III, and her first great-grandchild Charlotte Smith, her sisters Patricia Stephen, Nancy Greenwood, her brother Dave Hjerpe and his wife Vera, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W, Foster Street, Melrose MA 02176.
