Dolores M. (Marchand) Doherty passed away at Winchester Nursing Center on February 26, 2023 at the age of 87. Delores was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 11, 1935 to the late Joseph & Margaret Marchand.

She was raised in Everett, graduated from Chevrus High School in 1953 and lived most of her life in Melrose. Delores worked as an executive secretary at the Amatron International Company for 32 years, retiring in 1981. Mrs. Doherty was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose, enjoyed taking trips to North Conway, loved doing crafts and taking trips with her friends.

Delores was the beloved wife of the late Robert "Doc" Doherty. Loving and cherished mother of Daniel Doherty and his longtime companion Jane Abbruzzese of Peabody. Caring sister of the late Mary Jean Furey and sister-in-law of the late Helen Green. Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 9:00-11:00AM, followed by a service at 11:00AM. Burial at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
