Domenic “Dom “ Vega of Saugus formally of East Boston, passed away on Monday, June 22 at Winchester Hospital. He was 94 years old. Dom was the son of the late Antonetta and Pasquale Vega.

Beloved husband to the late Elizabeth Vega. Loving father of the late Stephen Vega and his wife Claudineia .Cherished grandfather to Stacy Vega Simpson and Alyssa Nolette. Great grandfather to Brenden, Jacob, Mo, and Zachary. Brother of Annette “ Vega” Higgins of Melrose and the late Clara Monfalcone,Josephine Scavo, and Rose McCashion. Uncle of Susan, Annette, Judy, Ricky, June, Joseph, Anthony, Janice, Claire and Geraldine. Survived by many loving great- nieces and great -nephews.

Dom was a proud Member of the East Boston yacht club for over 65 years. He was the oldest active member of the club. The members enjoyed him as much as he enjoyed the club. He also owned a photography studio in Boston. He always knew how to capture that perfect photo. Dom will be missed by all.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Gately Funeral Home,79 W. Foster St., Melrose, followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church,14 Summer St., Saugus at 11:30a.m. Interment at the Holy Cross, Cemetery located at 175 Broadway, Malden, Relatives and friends are invited.
