Domenic Amato, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on May 31st at the age of 75. Domenic was born & raised in East Boston and attended East Boston High School. He worked as a Carpenter for Sweetheart Plastic Co. in Wilmington for 35 years before his retirement in 1990. Domenic resided in Melrose since 1963 and enjoyed gardening and traveling to Florida. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Winthrop & Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield for many years. Domenic was the beloved husband of Phyllis F. (Burns) Amato for over 50 years. Loving father of Paul D. Amato & his wife Patricia of Sterling and Linda M. Falcone & her husband Vincent of Woburn. Cherished grandfather of Vincent Jr. & David Falcone and Kevin Amato. Caring brother of the late Carmelo Amato & his wife Venchenza of Revere and the late Carmela Amato. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Wednesday June 3rd at 8AM. Funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.
