Donald John Doucette Jr. passed away suddenly at Winchester Hospital, on March 3, 2011. He was only 49 years of age. Don was raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School, Boston College High School, Class of 1979 and from Wentworth Institute in Boston. Mr. Doucette lived most of his life in Melrose and had just recently moved to Wakefield. He was a Senior Vice President at the Bank of New York Mellon and has worked for the same bank for over 25 years. Don was also involved in real estate development in the local area. An auxiliary police officer for the Town of Stoneham for many years, he was a big Red Sox fan and enjoyed golfing & traveling. Mr. Doucette had numerous friends and was known for his great smile, sense of humor and big heart. Donald was the loving husband of Michele (Gramaglia) Doucette. Cherished son of Mary (McKay) Doucette of NH and the late Donald John Doucette Sr.. Beloved brother of Maureen Monahan & her husband Keith of NH. Devoted uncle of Keith & Matthew Monahan. Caring son-in-law of Jo-Anne Gramaglia of NY & her late husband William and sister-in-law Nina Gramaglia of CO. Also survived by several cousins and numerous friends. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Don's life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
