Donald X. Finn passed away at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose on June 5th at the age of 90. He was born and raised in Revere, graduated from Revere High School Class of 1931. He owned a gas station on the corner of Lebanon & Park St. in Melrose in the 1930s. Donald served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater. After WWII he worked as the manager at the Gulf Station on Lynn Fells Parkway here in Melrose. Don was a resident of Melrose for over 50 years, a member of the VFW Harold O'Young Post #2394 & American Legion Post in Melrose and St. Marys Church. He was the son of the late Maurice & Annie ( Mulligan ) Finn. Uncle of James D. Hansen of Westford and several other nieces and nephews. Godfather of Marie France DeTand Heim of Chambly, France. Brother of the late Joseph Finn, M. William Finn, Thomas Finn, Marie Finn, Genevieve Finn, Anna Farrey and Elizabeth Hansen. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday June 8th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St Marys Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts. at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited.
