Doris L. (Hollett) Mansfield passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on December 19, 2020 at the age of 92. Doris was born in Chelsea on March 27, 1928 to the late Clarence & Lillian (Kelloway) Hollett. She moved to Newfoundland at the age of 4 and was raised in Newfoundland until the age of 20. Doris came back to the United States where she lived in Malden for many years and the last 32 years in Melrose. Mrs. Mansfield worked numerous jobs throughout her life; at Jackson Industries in Malden, National Radio, Florence Light Company, Hissel's in Revere and in the housekeeping department at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 12 years. She liked to sew, travel and enjoyed her trips to New Hampshire. Doris always had a kind word, had a great sense of humor and was an excellent historian regarding Newfoundland. She was the beloved wife of the late Eric Mansfield. Loving mother of the late Judith Charbonneau and the late Barbara Mansfield. Cherished grandmother of Kiel Abbott of Bedford. Caring sister of Vivian Billancione, Shirley Koehn, Ruby Hayes and the late Jennie Jenkins. Loving aunt of Florence Jodin, Dorothy Tully, Jimmy Moore & Anna Klinger as well as several other nieces & nephews. Due to Covid 19 current funeral services will be private services and will held at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Doris's name to VNA of Middlesex East & Visiting Nurse Hospice, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867 or to Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave. Boston, MA 02115.
